This guide explains how to troubleshoot cases where you cannot complete your Jicoo account creation with an email address. This includes situations where you are stuck on the "Preparing Access" screen, see a "Registration not found" error when trying to log in, or see an "Address is invalid" error when trying to sign up again.
Symptoms
When you try to sign up with an email address, the screen remains stuck on "Preparing Access."
When you enter the same email address on the login screen, it displays "Registration not found" (or similar).
When you try to sign up again with the same email address, it displays "Address is invalid."
Main Cause and Solution
This issue is often caused by the email verification process not being completed correctly. It commonly occurs when the registration action and the verification action are performed in different environments (i.e., different browsers or devices).
This can cause the email address to become "stuck" in the system in a "pending verification" state, preventing both login and new registration.
[Important] You must verify your email in the same browser you used to start the registration.
For security reasons, Jicoo's verification process requires that the browser used to start registration is the same one used to click the verification link in the email.
Incorrect Examples:
Starting registration on a PC browser -> Opening the email and tapping the verification link on a smartphone.
Starting registration in a normal PC browser window -> Opening the email and clicking the verification link in an incognito/private window.
Correct Example:
Starting registration in Chrome on your PC -> Opening the email and clicking the verification link in Chrome on the same PC.
Resolution Steps
Step 1: [If You Were Invited to a Team]
If this problem occurred while trying to register via a team invitation link, the invitation process may be incomplete.
Contact the inviter (Administrator)
Ask the team administrator to go to the Jicoo team management screen and "Delete" your pending (or registered) account.
(After the admin deletes the account) Create a new account yourself
Important: Do not use the invitation link. Go to the Jicoo TOP page ( https://www.jicoo.com/ ), select "Sign Up," and complete the registration as an individual first.
Remember to follow the [Important] rule above (verify in the same browser).
Get re-invited after completing registration
Once you confirm you can successfully log in to your new account, ask the team administrator to send a new invitation to the email address you just registered.
After logging in, switch teams to log in to the invited team.
(If necessary, you can delete any unwanted teams.)
Step 2: [If You Are Signing Up as an Individual]
Please carry out the process from the verification email in the following environment.
Try an Incognito/Private Window
To avoid issues with browser cache or extensions, open an incognito/private window, access your verification email from that window, and click the link to log in.
Step 3: [If None of the Above Steps Work]
If you still see the "Address is invalid" error after trying Steps 1 and 2 and cannot register or log in, it is highly likely that your email address is locked in an incomplete state within our system.
In this situation, it is difficult for you to resolve on your own, and we will need to manually reset (delete) the data on our end.
