How to disable guest cancellations and schedule changes?

You can change whether or not to accept cancellations or rescheduling from guests.

If you disallow, the cancellation and rescheduling page link will not appear in the guest notification email.

You can change Edit booking page > Workflow


Setting Deadlines for Rescheduling and Cancellations

You can set deadlines for when guests are allowed to change or cancel their bookings. These settings are available under Edit Booking Page > Workflow > Guest Change Requests.

You can define the deadline based on either the Appointment start time or 00:00 on appointment day. Once this deadline has passed, guests will no longer be able to reschedule or cancel the booking themselves.

Even after the deadline has passed, hosts can still reschedule or cancel bookings manually.

How to Set a Cancellation Deadline

To set a deadline for cancellations, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Edit screen of the booking page you wish to configure.

  2. Click on Workflow.

  3. Set Cancellation or rescheduling by guests to On

  4. Select Set under Cancellation Acceptance Deadline.

  5. Set the deadline of your choice and click Save.

When Using "Appointment start time" as the Reference Point

Example:

  • Reference Point: "Appointment start time"

  • Deadline: "1 hour before"

If a booking is scheduled for December 18 at 2:00 PM, the guest will no longer be able to cancel from 1:00 PM on December 18 onwards.

When Using "00:00 on appointment day" as the Reference Point

Example:

  • Reference Point: "00:00 on appointment day"

  • Deadline: "10 minutes before"

If a booking is scheduled for December 18 at 2:00 PM, the deadline is calculated from 12:00 AM on December 18. In this case, the guest will no longer be able to cancel from 11:50 PM on December 17 onwards.

After the Cancellation Deadline

Once the cancellation deadline has passed, guests will no longer be able to click "Cancel" from the Booking Details screen.

Hosts, however, can still cancel bookings manually from the Booking List.


How to Set a Rescheduling Deadline

To set a deadline for cancellations, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Edit screen of the booking page you wish to configure.

  2. Click on Workflow.

  3. Set Cancellation or rescheduling by guests to On

  4. Select Set under Cancellation Acceptance Deadline.

  5. Set the deadline of your choice and click Save.

When Using "Appointment start time" as the Reference Point

Example:

  • Reference Point: "Appointment start time"

  • Deadline: "30 minutes before"

If a booking is scheduled for December 20 at 10:00 AM, the guest will no longer be able to cancel from 9:30 AM on December 20 onwards.

When Using "00:00 on appointment day" as the Reference Point

Example:

  • Reference Point: "00:00 on appointment day"

  • Deadline: "1 day before"

If a booking is scheduled for December 20 at 10:00 AM, with the settings above, the guest will no longer be able to reschedule from 12:00 AM on December 19 onwards.

After the Rescheduling Deadline

Once the rescheduling deadline has passed, guests will no longer be able to click "Reschedule" from the Booking Details screen.

Hosts, however, can still cancel bookings manually from the Booking List.
