If bookings are not written to your spreadsheet even though Google Sheets integration is set up, the cause is usually the “setting sharing” option. This page explains which setting is used and how to check it.
First check: setting sharing
Google Sheets integration settings are saved per Jicoo account. When a booking is written, Jicoo looks at the setting belonging to the member assigned as the host of that booking.
So if setting sharing is set to “Do not share”, only bookings where the person who created the setting is the host are written. Bookings hosted by other members are not written at all. If you use automatic host assignment, it is possible that nothing is written.
To fix this, open the Google Sheets setting on each booking page and change setting sharing to “Share”, then save. This setting is stored per booking page, so you need to do this on every booking page concerned.
Which setting is used
When several members have settings on the same booking page, they are resolved in this order.
If the host of that booking has their own enabled setting, it is used
If not, a setting whose sharing is set to “Share” is used
If there is neither, the team-wide setting is used
When more than one shared setting exists, the one saved most recently is used.
A host’s own setting takes priority over a shared setting. If you want everything collected into one account’s spreadsheet, other members must not have settings (or their settings must be disabled).
Which Google account writes to the sheet
Writing is always performed with the permissions of the Google account that saved the integration setting.
The host of the booking therefore does not need permission on the spreadsheet, and does not need to connect Google Sheets integration in Jicoo. Grant them view access on the Google side only if you want them to see the contents.
Where the spreadsheet can be stored
You can keep the file in a Google Workspace shared drive or shared folder. The only requirement is that the Google account that saved the setting keeps edit access to that spreadsheet.
Moving the file after saving the setting does not break the integration, because the spreadsheet ID does not change. However, writing stops if the file is moved to a shared drive that the account is not a member of, or if the account is reduced to viewer access.
Also note that the spreadsheet picker only lists files the account has edit access to.
Other things to note
After you change a setting, it applies to bookings made after the change. Existing bookings cannot be written retroactively (please use the CSV download on the booking list instead)
Other members’ integration settings cannot be viewed from the admin screen. Please contact support if you need to check them
The Google Sheets setting screen can only be opened by accounts with the Owner or Administrator role
