To stop Meeting AI from importing recordings and transcripts or generating meeting notes, analyses, and reports, update your team settings using an administrator account.
Turn off Meeting AI for your entire team
Open Team Settings.
Select “Meeting Recaps.”
Turn off “Enable meeting recaps.”
Click “Save.”
After you save this setting, Meeting AI analysis and report generation will stop for new meetings across your entire team.
Note: Only team owners and administrators can change this setting.
Prevent Google Meet recording and transcription from turning on automatically
If you also want to prevent Google Meet recording and transcription from starting automatically:
Open Google Meet Defaults.
Turn off “Turn on transcription and recording by default.”
Click “Save setting.”
Turning this setting off prevents Jicoo from automatically enabling recording and transcription for Google Meet spaces created for bookings.
Important notes
Turning off “Insights” on the Meeting AI settings page does not completely disable Meeting AI.
Existing bookings, booking pages, meeting notes, and reports will not be deleted.
Meeting-level Meeting AI settings are retained. They will become effective again if Meeting AI is re-enabled for the team.
A report may still be generated if processing started before the setting was turned off.
