How can I use Google Meet recordings and transcription data?

Jicoo's Meeting Analysis imports recordings and transcripts from Google Meet and automatically creates summaries, meeting notes, task extraction, scoring, and more. This page explains how to use Google Meet recording and transcription data in Jicoo.

What you can do

  • Analyze meeting recordings (automatically generated by Google Meet)

  • Analyze transcripts (automatically generated by Google Meet, with timestamps)

  • Auto-generate summaries and meeting notes (templates available)

  • Auto-extract and check tasks

  • Run analyses (speaker analysis, guest experience, custom scores, and more)

  • View reports (trends and averages by period)

Requirements to use this feature

  1. The host's Google Workspace account must be on a plan that includes both "Record meetings and save to Drive" and "Transcribe meetings and save to Drive", and these permissions must be granted to the target host by the Google Workspace administrator.

  2. The host must connect a Google Workspace account that meets the requirements above through Google Meet meeting analysis integration. If the host has not connected their account, no analysis can be generated for that event.

Team-wide settings

  1. On the Meeting Analysis Settings page, turn ON both "Transcription settings" → "Meeting analysis source" → "Google Meet integration" and "Insight settings" → "Insights".

  2. A Jicoo administrator turns ON "Turn on transcription and recording by default" on the Google Meet meeting analysis integration settings page. Note: You can also keep this default OFF and turn recording / transcription ON manually before or during each Google Meet — analysis can still be generated this way.

How a meeting analysis is created

  1. The administrator enables Meeting Analysis on the settings page.

  2. The host connects their account on Google Meet meeting analysis integration.

  3. The host configures the integration settings page.

  4. A booking is created, and the meeting is held in Google Meet at the scheduled time.

  5. After the meeting ends, Google Meet automatically generates the recording and transcript and saves them to the host's Google Drive.

  6. Jicoo imports the recording and transcript and automatically generates the meeting analysis.

  7. You can view and share the analysis from the dashboard.
