Setup Instructions
To carry over the responses from the routing form to the guest information section of the booking page, you must configure the following settings on the booking page and the routing form edit page, respectively.
Step 1: Create form fields in the routing form
Step 2: Create form fields on the booking page to link guest information
Step 3: Configure the connection between the routing form and the form fields on the booking page
We will explain the settings for Steps 1 through 3 in order.
Step 1: Create form fields in the routing form
Open the routing form's edit page, click “Question” > “+ Add an item,” and create a form for entering guest information.
You can create a new routing form here.
Step 2: Create Form Fields on the Booking Page to Link Guest Information
To link the information from the routing form created in Step 1 to the guest information on the booking page, create the same form fields on the booking page. (*The option to add form fields to the booking page is available on the Pro plan and above.)
Adding Form Fields to the Booking Page
Open Booking Page Edit > Form > Customizing question items
Create a new form field under “Add an item” and save it.
Step 3: Configure the connection between the routing form and the booking page form fields
There are two ways to configure the connection between the routing form and the booking page form fields. Please choose the setting that best suits your needs.
Configuring the Connection Between the Routing Form and the Booking Page Form Fields
Set the booking page as a form field in the routing form
Information entered in the routing form: Carried over as guest information on the booking page
Editing guest information during booking: Not possible (since the booking is created as soon as the routing form is submitted).
Redirect to the booking page after submitting the routing form
Information entered in the routing form: Carried over as guest information on the booking page
Editing guest information during booking: Guests can edit the information carried over from the routing form and submit the booking
Set the booking page as a form field in the routing form
Set up a booking page as a field in a routing form and configure the connection between the form field and the booking page.
This ensures that when the form is submitted, a booking is created with the guest information entered in the form automatically linked to it.
Open the routing form’s edit page and click Question > + Add an item.
Under “General” > “Type,” select “Appointment.”
Under “Embed Booking Page,” select the booking page from Step 2.
Configure which form fields on the booking page the information entered in the routing form should be linked to (transferred to).
Select a form field from the routing form to link to the corresponding form field on the booking page.
Once the linking is complete, click “Submit.” This completes the setup to connect the routing form to the booking page.
Redirect to the booking page after submitting the routing form
If you set the booking page as the redirect or pop-up destination in “Action on form submission,” you can configure the system to carry over the information entered in the routing form to the guest information section of the booking page.
This ensures that the information entered in the routing form is automatically carried over to the guest information section of the booking page. Guests can then edit this information and submit their booking.
Open the routing form's edit page, then go to Route > Action on Form Submission
Select “Booking Page” as the routing destination.
Select the booking page from Step 2 as the routing destination and save your changes.
Open “Prefill mapping.”
Configure which form fields on the booking page will receive the data entered in the routing form.
Select the corresponding form fields on the booking page for each form field on the routing form.
Once the mapping is complete, click “Save.” This completes the connection setup between the routing form and the booking page.
