On a booking page form, you can show or hide specific questions depending on the guest’s answers. For example, you can show “Details of your inquiry” only to guests who choose “Other” in “Type of inquiry”.
*Available on the Business plan.
*Only “Additional items” (questions you added) can be used. Fixed items such as “Name” and “Email address” cannot be used as a condition or as a target.
How to set it up
Go to Edit booking page > Form and find “Field visibility conditions”.
First, create and save the question you will use as the condition and the question whose display you want to switch, as “Additional items”. Only saved questions appear as options for a condition. If there are no additional items yet, a message asks you to add a question first.
Open Edit booking page > Form and click “Add condition” under “Field visibility conditions”
Under “Condition”, select the question to use as the condition, choose “is”, “is not”, “includes”, or “excludes”, and specify the answer (an option or text)
In the lower section, select the questions whose display you want to switch (you can select more than one), then choose “show” or “hide”
Click “Save”
To combine conditions:
To act only when all conditions are met: click “Add AND condition” and add a condition
To act when any one of several answers matches: click “OR...” and add an answer
You can edit or delete the saved conditions from the list, and reorder them by dragging. If more than one condition targets the same question and several of them match, the one lower in the list takes priority.
Example
Suppose you have the question “Type of inquiry” and the question “Details of your inquiry” (text). This setting shows “Details of your inquiry” only to guests who choose “Other”.
Condition: “Type of inquiry” is “Other”
Question to switch: “Details of your inquiry” → “show”
With this setting, “Details of your inquiry” is not shown until “Other” is selected in “Type of inquiry”.
What guests see
A question set to “Show” is hidden until its condition is met, and appears when it is met
A question that only has “Hide” conditions is normally shown, and disappears when a condition is met
For multiple-choice questions, the display switches as soon as an option is selected; for text questions, when the guest leaves the input field
A question that is not shown can be left blank even if it is set as required. If a question disappears after the guest has entered an answer, that answer is not submitted
While the question used as the condition is unanswered, the condition is not met
Notes
A question used in a condition cannot be deleted until it is removed from the condition. The message “This item is used in visibility conditions. Remove it from the conditions before deleting.” is shown
A question used in a condition cannot be selected as a target of the same condition
If you change to a plan below Business, saved conditions are ignored and all questions are shown
