Microsoft SSO Authentication Specifications and Notes

Updated over a week ago

This article explains how Single Sign-On (SSO) with a Microsoft account works and how primary/secondary email addresses (aliases) are handled.

1. Basic Specifications for Microsoft SSO

Microsoft SSO in Jicoo verifies your identity based on the following condition:

  • The email address registered in your Jicoo account

  • The email address of the Microsoft account used for authentication

Login is only successful when these two email addresses contain an exact match.

2. Handling Primary/Secondary Addresses (Aliases)

Even if you have multiple email addresses (primary and secondary/aliases) associated with your Microsoft account, you can only log in to Jicoo using the specific email address currently registered with Jicoo.

Even if a secondary address is active on the Microsoft side, you cannot use it for SSO login if it differs from the address registered in Jicoo.

Note: If you swap your primary and secondary addresses in your Microsoft account settings, please be aware that authentication will fail if the address used does not match the one registered in Jicoo.

3. How to Check Your Current Login Address

You can check which email address is currently valid for login on the following settings page. SSO login is only possible with a Microsoft account that matches the email address displayed on this page.
